Forecast Discussion

Issued: Thursday, November 7, 2019 - 12:20PM

Forecaster: Brennen Perry

Lake effect snow and snow squalls will be going strong for areas around Lake Huron and South Georgian Bay on Friday morning. As a result, the first school bus cancellations of the season are likely for Friday. The best chance is in rural areas around the southeastern shoreline of Lake Huron around Goderich and Grand Bend. There’s still some uncertainty on exactly where the snow bands will be located by morning so the exact probability may change by the evening update. While Sarnia is in the ‘Cancellations Likely’ zone, we believe cancellations within the town are unlikely and rather will be contained to rural eastern portions of the Sarnia school board.

Disclaimer: Instant Weather has zero authority when it comes to bus and school closures. It is completely up to the school boards, bus companies, and local authorities as well as being up to parents to decide what is best for their children. This is simply our best guess based on our forecast.
