Forecast Discussion

Issued: Wednesday, November 6, 2019 - TIME

Forecaster: Brennen Perry

Significant snow squalls will continue to affect regions southeast of Lake Huron throughout the day on Friday leading to additional accumulation generally between 10-20cm by Friday evening on top of the 10-25cm from Thursday. Totals between the two days may exceed 30cm in some localized areas. A weak low-pressure system will deliver a few centimetres of fresh snow accumulation to all parts of Southern Ontario on Saturday afternoon and evening. Heavier snow is possible northeast of Georgian Bay from this system due to lake enhancement bringing totals close to the 5-10cm mark. Uncertainty remains high on the exact amount that could fall northeast of Georgian Bay with some models suggesting as much as 15cm. Higher-resolution models in the next few days should help narrow this down.
