Forecast Discussion

Issued: Tuesday, November 5, 2019 - 11:50PM

Forecaster: Brennen Perry

Lake effect snow or snow squalls may develop in a northwesterly flow off of Georgian Bay affecting the Parry Sound and Northern Muskoka region beginning Saturday morning and last for much of the weekend with varying intensity. A system could bring a messy mix of precipitation to Southern Ontario through the day on Sunday with the exact mixing line still uncertain but generally north of Lake Simcoe should see mainly snow with lake enhancement from Georgian Bay. Widespread 10-20cm of snowfall accumulation is likely east of Georgian Bay between Saturday and Sunday although local amounts may be much more depending on where the snow squalls set up and if it locks in for any length of time.
