Strong snow squalls are expected to affect regions south of Georgian Bay between Thursday and Friday. Total snowfall accumulation may exceed 30cm in some location by the end of Friday. The bullseye for the heaviest snowfall appears to be between Collingwood and Dundalk around the higher elevations of the Blue Mountains. Outside of this region, snowfall accumulation will be substantially less with the City of Barrie seeing just over 5cm. The exact direction of the snow bands will dictate who sees how much snow and a small change may result in a shift of the heaviest snowfall. Lake effect snow will come to an end late Friday afternoon.
