Although this current cold trend that has settled over the province has lasted for the past few days, expect tomorrow (Jan. 14) to have the coldest wind chill values yet. These extremely cold temperatures are expected to only warm slightly throughout the day, with the coldest air settling over Central Alberta. Even the afternoon sun will not being able to fight off the bone-chilling -45 to -55°C wind chills. Some models are even suggesting wind chill values as low as -60°C!
