Forecast Discussion
Issued: Friday, June 5, 2020 - 1:30PM
We’ve already seen a few thunderstorms including one severe warned storm throughout the Northern GTA this afternoon and the risk for scattered storms will continue into the late afternoon and evening hours. A zone stretching from Guelph through York Region and into parts of Eastern Ontario could see these storms become marginally severe with heavy rainfall, hail and strong wind gusts the main risks. Since these storms will be extremely localized, not everyone will see rain today. Also watching a secondary zone along the border with Michigan in Extreme Southwestern Ontario with a line of storms that track across the border during the evening. The storm threat will end around midnight for all areas.
