Hurricane Teddy Rainfall Amounts.jpg

Good Early Tuesday Morning! and happy first day of fall! & Happy Birthday to my mother!

I continue to be hesitant on the rainfall for the South Shores & Tri-Counties, The GFS model wants to consistently continue with putting them at only under 20 mm, meanwhile the ICON & GEM model, as well as the ECMWF puts 30-40+mm.

For this Forecast Update, I am leaning towards the ICON & GEM model as ECMWF has track way to close to the Left, and the ICON,GEM & GFS have the track fairly well together crossing over Cape Breton.

I am not going by with the GFS for rainfall in SW & Cape Breton, as the track of system keeps rain further to the left, and strongest winds to the right.

So for Southern NS, expect 25-50 mm of rain

For Kentville, Bridgewater & Greenwood areas, 40-75 mm is expected.

For Northern NS, Amherst to New Glasgow, Antigonish, Truro and to Halifax you will see the heaviest rain! with amounts as high as 75-100+ mm

Cape Breton, Looking at 25 to 50 mm.

I will likely change this forecast this afternoon, if I see any changes and if the GFS is going as forecast.

Have a great first day of Fall!, Happy Birthday to my Mudder! and Stay safe out there and hunkers down & please for heavens sake! Stay the Blazes home!! ;)
